Musandam from Dubai by public transportation: There are a few buses that have connecting services from U.A.E to Oman. These buses are not entirely comfortable, and you will also have to take different buses that connect you to your final destination. You will have to first go to the main bus station located in Deira, and from there, take a bus to Ras Al Khaimah. There will be buses from Ras Al Khaimah to Khasab.

Wadi Al Baih: This border is closed to foreigners and expatriates with an Omani residence visa. It is a mountain road and is a challenging ride. Only 4×4 cars are allowed through this border, as normal cars cannot make it through the rocky roads.
